The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for executing multiple tasks that will support Merchants and Planners from all Product Groups in optimizing use of the system and ensuring data consistency. Main tasks are related to SKU & Purchase Orders creation/ maintenance and Price changes in PIM, SAP, and DFS Merchandising System. Additional tasks will also relate to Vendor Support Terms, Reverse Logistics, Reporting and Defective Items processing.
The Merchandising Assistant is also responsible for assisting both Merchandising Services Manager and Director to lead the standardization and industrialization of some merchandising processes and tools.
Merchandising & Planning
- Consolidate and upload product information into system from DFS standardized templates
- Follow up with Vendors for missing product information
- Execute SKU creation, SKU maintenance and vendor Purchase Order creation
- Reconcile brand’s order confirmation with DFS orders
- Tracking purchases orders status
- Execute Price Changes and follow up on VST document creation
- Follow up on reverse logistics document creation
- Communicate with internal and external Partners to resolve issues related to product data, purchase orders and vendor support
Data Governance & Reporting
- Liaise with Merchandise Systems team to execute quality check and maintain data governance
- Perform penny retail reports and communicate missing information to the merchants
- Produce standardized reports for internal Partners
- Extracting master data to perform data quality check and management
- Offer solution to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Qualification
- University Degree with 1-2 years’ experience in related industry
- Previous merchandising or planning or Shared Services Centre preferred
- Proficient in MS excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent at problem solving and handling multiple priorities
- Very detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to detect data inconsistencies
