Our Client, an industry-led organization in provision of global standards of standards-based solutions and services is looking for an Application & Development Manager to head a small team. This position will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementing business and technical information technology solutions and ensuring the use of most updated and broadly recognized technologies for both in-housed or business projects.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance the Core development framework and the company’s Cross system Single Sign-on System
- Define technical development standards, e.g. tools and software to be used
- Define and align the technology polices with ISO27001 standards.
- Define and apply the development life cycle throughout the whole project.
- Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration. Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.
- Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
- Provide technical architectural design of the system to align technology strategy and meet both security and business requirements
- Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation
- Interface with internal and external resources to address technical concerns and recommend solution for technical problems.
- To manage external vendors on solution integration and compliance of standards, oversee and measure the fulfillment of the vendor’s contractual obligations
- Defines project scope, project requirement, plan and deliverable including cost projections and proposed implementation dates.
- Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability.
- Performs risk assessment and works out mitigation plan for management.
- Coaches and provides technical leadership to others on the application of new technologies, appropriate system development methodologies.
- Responsible for application implementation in supply chain visibility consultancy project.
Requirements:
- University graduate with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- Minimum of 10 years’ information systems design, software development, IT management and project management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in team management of medium-sized software team and with track record in leading the delivery of complex system development projects
- Excellent knowledge and working experience in Java development, especially in Spring + Hibernate + AJAX, HTML5, Java Script framework development.
- Knowledge and working experience in other key technologies, like: .NET, Portal, API, in-memory database, digital, Internet of Things (IoT) will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in developing supply chain and traceability system will be an asset.
- Strong team player who can work under pressure, independently and proactively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese).
