Our Client is a global market leader in providing international private medical insurance. They are looking for high caliber candidates for both the positions of Business Development and Account Management.

Responsibility

  • Manage all aspects of new business and distribution development
  • Build strong, effective long term relationships with decision makers within each intermediary across current and new intermediary relationships
  • Achieve new business sales targets and seek to achieve targeted growth both for registration and distribution
  • Manage all aspects of the accounts assigned, including retention, renewal, contribution, expansion, pricing discussion, risk and debt management
  • Provide proactive advice to Clients on their plans, spend analysis, market & legislative changes. To prepare and present appropriate account performance material often to the highest management levels using full graphic capabilities, marketing and sales aids;
  • Identify opportunities that can be developed and draw up a Strategic Plan to identify the business potential within the account or distribution
  • Prepare and present appropriate sales material often to the highest level of the company using full graphic capabilities, marketing and sales aids
  • Compliance with requirements from the Hong Kong regulations

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce / Marketing / Finance preferred.
  • Sales background in the global health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management including selling at Senior/Board member level
  • Demonstrable track record in growing intermediary sales and achieving sales targets with previous working relationships with intermediaries or third party distribution channels
  • Good working knowledge of competitor products, business/commercial acumen on pricing/contract issues within the marketplace
  • Experience in negotiating and managing high-value contracts with external and internal partners
  • Experience of working overseas and dealing with foreign cultures is important, as is capability to develop a strong international network of commercial contacts and effectively manage long term relationships
  • Experience in local legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Able to work independently as well as to contribute to the team, with good communication and presentation skills.
